This section of our web site includes everything homeowners need to know about safe digging, including what information you'll need to provide when you call, how O.U.P.S. members respond to your request, and a list of contract locators available to mark those privately installed lines and more.

 

By law, everyone—including homeowners—MUST contact the Ohio Utilities Protection Service, 1-800-362-2764 or 8-1-1, at least 48 hours but no more than 10 working days (excluding weekends and legal holidays) or enter it online with e-dig the easy online dig request for homeowners, before beginning ANY digging on their property.
