The OHIO811 Interactive Educational Trailer plays a key role in promoting safe excavation practices and raising awareness of underground utility safety.
The first trailer in the OHIO811 fleet, the Interactive Educational Trailer connects real-life experiences to homeowners and professionals of all ages, engaging thousands of Ohioans since 2021.
The OHIO811 trailer attracts and retains visitors of all ages, with a unique interactive educational experience. Walking through the trailer guests are enveloped by three-dimensional displays on the walls and under their feet, showcasing a maze of pipelines, cables, wires, conduits, and other common underground utility infrastructure.
Each year, representatives from OHIO811 and our member facility owners participate in dozens of trade shows and community events across the state of Ohio. We interact with thousands of contractors, excavators, vendors, homeowners, farmers, and students; distributing literature, color-coded cards for locating utility lines, and branded merchandise promoting OHIO811 and our “Contact OHIO811 before you dig” message.
