House Bill 227, effective June 9, 2026, includes an update to Ohio Revised Code (ORC) 3781.261 – Protection of Underground Utility Facilities Training:

“…Employee training provided and training successfully completed shall be documented and retained by the employer…”

Please note that OHIO811 does not log, track, or maintain training records. It is the responsibility of each employer to document and retain records of employee training as required by law.
